Recent baths�

There is a new development in the yard of the gardenqueen. Birds are bathing in the birdbath.

Now, they've been drinking, or at least the goldfinches have been drinking since I hooked the whole think up to the drip irrigation systemm one of my personal favorite accomplishments.

In the last couple of days a house finch and a just-out-of-the-nest phoebe have been bathing in it.

I'm delighted. The fact that bird drink from it is more important to me than they bathe in it. I don't know about you, but having water to drink is more important to me than having water to bathe in.

The fact that both drinking and bathing are going on pleases me no end.
