Can I be a Mouse?�

I rescued a small friend from the cats today. One thing I hate about having cats is their effect on the local wildlife. Even though our cats are indoor cats, they have killed. Birds. Only sparrows so far. And reptiles. Such as my small friend below.

I enjoy having cats. I enjoy their company. I regret any depredations they make in the local wildlife. I can't change what they are, but I try not to let them have too great an effect on our surroundings. If they are in my sight, I prevent them from killing. I play with them myself. Give them some catnip or catmint, get out their toys. It fulfills their prey drive and distracts them from the surrounding wildlife. Eeeek! Can I be a mouse?
