A Halloween Memory 2005-11-01 I remember a costume my dad made when I was a kid. A butterfly costume. There were no fancy wings with glitter like there are at the mega toy stores now. Dad made the framework out of aluminum tubing stuck into a small piece of wood. More tubing to hang them from my shoulders. I made the wings out of crepe paper. Black with yellow edges and blue spots, after my favorite butterfly, the mourning cloak. The wings and black leotards made up my outfit. I ran the feet out of the leotards in the first half hour. I'll never forget that my dad took the time to help me with it. |
