We had my Dad's birthday party this weekend. Youngest sister's kids and I went on an adventure in the yard. They wanted to know why I was taking pictures. I told them I liked to take pictures of flowers and bugs and things. I told my nephew that I was weird. I liked bugs. He looked at me, wide-eyed, and said "You're not weird; I like bugs, too!"

We were looking around for pretty things to take pictures of when I saw a grasshopper that had recently shed it's skin. It was still hanging from it's old self. My nephew said "That's camouflage! Right?" I thought it was pretty cool that a seven-year-old understood the meaning of camouflage.
