Just My Size�

Have I ever said how much I miss my motorcycle. It's years in the past and I still want it back. I had a Honda 125, single stroke engine, a street bike. Most motorcycles that size are twin cylinder dirt bike. I can't drive past our local motorcycle dealers without looking longingly at their lots. Thinking, 'Is that one small enough? Would my feet reach the ground?' My old one was perfect. When we were together, we both looked normally sized. One summer while I was in college I didn't have a job so I'd ride to the beach several times a week. Most of the time, in my helmet and denim jacket, people didn't know I was a girl. I remember parking and taking off my helmet to shocked looks from the surfers in the next parking spot. That was one of the best parts about having it.

My mom told me much later that my aunt just about had a fit when she found out I had a motorcyle. My dad had a brother who died in a motorcycle accident. How could they possibly let me have a motorcycle? Never mind the fact that my dad had a company that made motorcycle accessories and had one of his own.

I guess my parents couldn't really tell me I couldn't have a motorcycle. I was eighteen. They sure could have made it much less fun to own. But they didn't. My parents have always tried to be fair. Looking over the Honda site they have street bike that's 26 and half inches high. Just my size.
