Wet Weather�

Had about ten minutes outside before it got totally dark. And it was totally dark before I came in. It rained last night, and it rained one time while I was at the meeting. Everything feels lush and damp out there.

Spent some pulling the nasturtians up around some annuals that I would like to keep clear. Have to remember to let them dry out before I put them in the compost pile. It I don't, the little devils will take root and grow. A tribute to the persisence of life.

The rain also starts the snail eggs hatching, so I spent some time squashing baby snails. I always feel kind of bad. I liked snails when I was a kid and didn't have to worry about them eating my work. I still find them interesting as creatures. Stil, they must go. I figure better feet than pesticide, however little I like it.
