I saw one this color last year. I thought maybe it was an albino or some other mutation, but there are two this year. There are at least 3 carpenter bees using the same entry into the stump. 2 of the golden bees and one black one. Weird. Am I going to have a colony of golden bees living in my stump? That would be so cool!
