There 's a bee in my stump

Last year when we went to Oregon on vacation, I brought home a large driftwood log to put in the yard. I thought it looked cool and it's the right height to sit on.

Apparently someone else also found it attractive. Yesterday I noticed a pile of sawdust on the ground near the stump and a nice round hole above the pile.

There is a bee im my stump. One of these bees.

I sweep up the sawdust, but every day a new pile appears. There must be quite an excavation in there. I wish I could do a cross section and see what it looks like.
