Beautiful Morning�

The Santa Ana winds are here. They drive me more than a bit crazy but they're beautiful just the same. One of the very few days during the year when I can see all of the mountains surrounding the LA basin.

Today is one of the days you can see Catalina Island from the hills. I saw her this morning, from the highest point in my drive from work. Just a silhouette against the horizon, but beautiful none the less. I've climbed her hills and dived her bays and coves. Those are what I see when I see that blue-gray outline on the sea.

This morning was beautiful. One of those benefits of three days of rain. Besides that green fuzz I can already see on the hills. Mare's tails cirrus clouds and a half moon in the sky.
